A banda del Centre per la Pau, el Castell de Montjuïc tindrà un espai de memòria i dignificació per a les persones que hi van ser afusellades

L’Ajuntament i el Ministeri de Defensa han informat que comencen aquest dimecres a desmuntar per al seu trasllat a Madrid els canons ubicats a la plaça d’Armes del Castell de Montjuïc. Són en total dotze peces d’artilleria que s’ubicaran al Parc i Centre de Sistemes Cuirassats d’Espanya.

Defensa ha indicat que el trasllat d’aquests canons es deu a la remodelació i nous usos del Museu Militar del Castell de Montjuïc, que ha estat cedit a l’Ajuntament de Barcelona.

De fet, el Castell de Montjuïc ofereix aquest 15 de juny una jornada de portes obertes, en què l’Ajuntament donarà a conèixer a la ciutadania quin serà l’ús d’aquest equipament de ciutat.

Així, els barcelonins i barcelonines podran descobrir aquest dia diversos espais que fins ara no s’havien pogut visitar, així com podran gaudir amb una exposició la triple dimensió del castell: equipament de ciutat, el futur Centre de la Pau i la seva vessant centrada en la recuperació de la memòria històrica.
