Junt amb el Castell de Montjuïc, l’antiga fàbrica Fabra i Coats i el Moll de Barcelona són altres dels nous espais de la ciutat que se sumaran a la festa

La Mercè 2008 té un gran somriure. Aquest és un dels elements més rellevants del cartell de la festa gran de la ciutat que ha estat dissenyat per Peret. El dissenyador barceloní, Premi Nacional de Disseny 1998, s’ha inspirat en la càrrega festiva i transgressora del riure per a crear la imatge de la Mercè.

La festa, que enguany se celebrarà del divendres 19 de setembre fins al dimecres 24 de setembre, tindrà com a pregoner al cantautor Jaume Sisa, que també serà el protagonista d’una nit galàctica a la plaça de Catalunya.

El músic, que celebra el seu aniversari el dia de la Mercè, serà homenatjat en aquesta nit on participaran diversos artistes convidats. “Tindrem una Mercè galàctica amb un programa galàctic”, ha avançat el delegat de cultura, Jordi Martí.
